Since I began watching Chelsea in recent years, I have never seen a more complete Chelsea side than the one we have managed to assemble at the moment. I have seen us play under Mourinho and Conte during his first season in charge, but the caliber of players around us now is just different. We have never been this close to being perfect, not even last season when we practically ran away with the league.

I watched us play against Atletico Madrid on Wednesday, and it was simply mind blowing what we did. Chelsea have never been that sleek against an opposition like that. From first kick to last, we took the game to them, and probably would be a few goals better off than we finished, but for some slack finishing.

The depth in the team is another thing to be admired too. Just some weeks ago, we looked shallow and depleted. There was no Hazard, and our bench was all about youngsters. It was a scary few weeks, and most like myself wondered how we’d cope, but we did, and now, we’re here. Our important players are back from injuries and suspension, and we boast some serious debt in our team right now. In fact, our bench could perhaps beat the first eleven of some of the biggest teams out there; that’s how you know a team that’s ready.

If I expected anything from the game against Atletico on Wednesday, it was a draw, since we played away, but we showed up, and tore them apart. If Manchester City saw that game, I’m sure they too would have been impressed, and afraid of what might happen to them this weekend.

The time for doubt is over, now it’s all about total support. If anything, watching us on Wednesday showed me Chelsea can damage any team in any competition this season.

Hope to see the same desire and will to win against Manchester City on Saturday.

What makes him perfect for this blog? He lives for Chelsea FC, in fact, I heard he sat in the middle of a road, and refused to go home after that bitter loss to Barcelona in 2009. Haha.
