After defeating Qarabag 5-0 a fortnight ago, Chelsea youth team has now won their second group game in the Youth Champions League after beating Atletico Madrid youth team 3-1 away from home.

Chelsea coach Joe Edwards made four changes from our 5-0 opening group win over Qarabag as Charlie Brown came into the side up front supported from out wide in attack by Dujon Sterling and Callum Hudson-Odoi.

The Blues were lined up a 4-2-3-1 shape which saw Marcin Bulka line up in goal behind a back four of Josh Grant, Ethan Ampadu, Trevoh Chalobah and Reece James.

And it was a game with lots of opportunities but Chelsea made theirs count, as the Chelsea youngsters had a 3-1 lead with less than half hour on the clock as Charlie Brown, Dujon Sterling and Jacob Maddox all netted early goals.

As early as the 28th minute, all four games had been scored, with Jacob Maddox scoring the third goal for Chelsea and the fourth in the game, with less than half an hour played.

Our Under-19s will take on Roma at Cobham in their next outing on Wednesday 18 October.
