Eden Hazard endured a poor season under Jose Mourinho two campaigns ago to enjoy a wonderful last season where he helped Chelsea to win the Premier League title.
And he acknowledged that Chelsea manager Antonio Conte helped improve him.
Asked whether Conte’s training sessions improved him, Hazard told SFR Sport: “You have to. Even after a week I think I had progressed with him.
“But I think he’s shown not just at Chelsea but also at Juventus that he’s a good coach and I think he has some good years ahead of him.”
Reacting to this, Conte said in his press conference: “Our work is to try to improve every single player. In the tactical aspect and the physical aspect and the mentality, I think it is very important to work with the players.
“But I think the most important thing is to have players open to receive more information and to have players to have great will to learn and improve himself. I think Eden is a top player and he improved a lot. I think he can continue to improve a lot in his career and become one of the best.”
Hazard is expected to start his first game of the season against Nottingham Forest on Wednesday in the Carabao Cup.
