Chelsea signed Danny Drinkwater from Leicester City on transfer deadline day, and the 27-year-old is pushing for a start against his former club Leicester City on Saturday.
The central midfield position is where Chelsea have the biggest competition, with N’Golo Kante, Cesc Fabregas, Tiemoue Bakayako and Danny Drinkwater all fighting for just two positions.
For many, Drinkwater was signed to be a backup player in that role, but the England international is showing that he deserves more than that.
During training, Drinkwater scored an impressive goal after bypassing Fabregas with a brilliant piece of skill. And this comes after the wonderful goal he scored on Tuesday.
