Despite missing the start of Chelsea’s season due to injury, Eden Hazard played from the start as Belgium demolished Gibraltar 9-0 in a World Cup qualifying game.
Hazard was on the pitch for 77 minutes and scored Belgium’s sixth goal of the game on the stroke of half-time. Hazard also crossed for Meunier to make it 7-0 on the hour.
Belgium’s victory matched their biggest competitive margin – a 10-1 mauling of San Marino in a 2002 World Cup qualifier.
Hazard was replaced by brother Thorgan while Michy Batshuayi was an unused sub. Thibaut Courtois was in goal for Belgium.
