Chelsea take on Leicester in both our fourth games of the season, and what may be one of the most important fixtures of our season.

Last season, the fixture was a walk over for us on both occasions we crossed paths, and while I don’t expect a hammering, I don’t expect Chelsea to fall short. After losing to Burnley, it’d be a disaster for us to fail against another mid table opposition. Leicester may have won the league two seasons ago, but they’re not a top team, and we can always defeat them. The win margin is what I can’t exactly predict, however it’s certain we’ll win.

If we could beat the likes of Tottenham and Everton without a complete team, we should do even better against a struggling Leicester side, and with all our players almost ready to play. The only thing I’m probably worried about is whether United and the other top teams will drop points, so our progress counts, and we move further up the table.

As things stand, we’re still 3 points adrift of the top, it only takes a loss for one of the leaders for that to change. It’s also important that we do not lose focus of our progress because it could get worse if we do. We must continue to do our part, while we wait patiently for our rivals to fall. It’s not a question of if; it’s just a matter of time.

I wish the lads luck as they get involved in their first game in over a week, and I hope that at the end of the day, we have something to celebrate.

King Jay is a writer/broadcaster with years of experience under his belt. His love affair with Chelsea actually began as a joke, but today, he stands tall as a die-hard blue. What makes him perfect for this blog? He lives for Chelsea FC, in fact, I heard he sat in the middle of a road, and refused to go home after that bitter loss to Barcelona in 2009. Haha.
