Alvaro Morata has overcome all his critics with an impressive start to life in the Premier League with Chelsea and his fine form has been recognised with a nomination for the Premier League Player of the Month award

The 24-year-old striker has scored two goals and assisted two in his first three games for Chelsea and became the first player in Premier League history to score and assist a goal in each of his first two home appearances in the competition – against Burnley and Everton.

He’d be up against the following other nominees: Phil Jones, Jonas Lossl, Romelu Lukaku, Sadio Mane, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Mohamed Salah.

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.

That’s fine of him, we expect more from him. Good start.
