Charly Musonda jnr started his first game for Chelsea in the Carabao Cup clash against Nottingham Forest last night, and the 20-year-old was magical in every bit of the word.

The Chelsea faithful had been anticipating a start for the Chelsea youngster and he finally got it, and scored a goal to cap an emotional night for the 20-year-old.

Speaking after the game, he revealed he was nervous before the start of the game and emotional after scoring, but has to keep working hard.

“It was my first start and it was very exciting,” beamed the Belgian.

“To be honest, I was more nervous before the game. I had to wait for so long for the game to start, a 7.45pm kick-off, so when the game started I was at ease and I felt really good.

“I was looking forward to it. I come from the Academy and it was a great experience to be able to play my first game with the first team here at the Bridge, but it’s only the first game and I have to keep on working.”
