It was a difficult game against Stoke City at the Bet365 Stadium, but Chelsea overcame a resilient Stoke side to win 4-0, courtesy of an Alvaro Morata hatrick and a goal from Pedro.

See how the players fared:

Courtois: Didn’t have much to do but dealt with everything that came his way. 7/10

Azpilicueta: Captained the team in the first-half, was resilient in defence and assisted Morata for the first goal with a stunning pass from deep. Assisted Morata again for the fourth goal. 8.5/10

Rudiger: Good game from Rudiger who came up strong against the likes of Shaqiri and Peter Crouch. 7.5/10

Christensen: Composed defending yet again from the youngster who replaced David Luiz in the middle of the back three. 7.5/10

Kante: Worked tirelessly in the middle for Chelsea today against a very strong Stoke City team. Cut many of Stoke’s attacking plans. 8/10

Bakayoko: His interception led to Morata’s second goal. Worked hard in the middle and is proving he’s worth the £40m spent on his transfer. 8/10

Alonso: Lacked concentration today and was lucky not to be sent off. Rightly substituted for Gary Cahill in the 58th minute. 5/10

Moses: Tireless performance from Moses on the right flank. 7/10

Pedro: Scored the second goal for Chelsea with a brilliant finish. Wasn’t his best of games but he had a decent game. 7/10

Willian: Looked a shadow of himself today. Misplaced the ball countless times and held on to the ball too long at times. 6/10

Morata: Five star performance from the record signing. He scored a hatrick, was a willing runner and showed that his pace will be an asset for Chelsea this season. 9.5/10

Subs

Cahill: Replaced Alonso with a little over 30 minutes left and brought steel to the Chelsea defence. 7/10

Fabregas: Classy performance from the Spaniard after replacing Pedro on the 68th minute. His passing was excellent and his introduction gave Chelsea the game back as Stoke looked very dangerous before that. His pass for Azpilicueta in the build-up to the fourth goal was world-class. 9/10

Hazard: Had just 18 minutes to show his class as he replaced Willian, and he was wonderful. Combined well with Fabregas and added bite to the Chelsea attack. 7.5/10

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
