A deserved win for the Blues against Atletico Madrid, but it was difficult as a late goal from Michy Batshuayi settled the three points for Chelsea.

See how the players fared:

Courtois: Was unfortunate to have conceded a goal, as an Antoine Griezmann penalty was the only reason he didn’t keep a clean sheet. Was solid in goal. 7/10

Cahill: Experienced defending from the captain to help curtail the attacking threat of Atletico. 7.5/10

Luiz: His grievous mistake almost cost the team, but besides that he was solid at the back and did a good job when he switched to midfield for the last five minutes of the game. 6/10

Azpilicueta: Solid at the back for Chelsea and made the likes of Yannick Carrasco go missing in the game. 7.5/10

Kante: Another solid performance from the France international. His energy was an asset for Chelsea today against a difficult Atletico Madrid side. 8/10

Fabregas: His passing made Chelsea fluid in the middle especially in the first-half, played a deeper role today to good effect but tired out in the second-half and was taken off for Andreas Christensen with five minutes of normal time left. 7/10

Bakayako: Helped give Chelsea a good shape in the middle of the park, but he gave a number of balls away. Made up for it with a deft touch to Marcos Alonso that led to Batshuayi’s late winner. 7.5/10

Alonso: Did a good job at left wing-back and also provided the assist for Michy Batshuayi’s late goal. 7.5/10

Moses: Had a number of attacking forays that looked deadly and did a good job on the right flank, as the right side looked really solid for Chelsea. 7/10

Hazard: The Belgian started his second game of the season for Chelsea and he caused many troubles for Atletico Madrid. Drew a lot of fouls due to his tricks and provided the assist for Morata to score the first goal. 8/10

Morata: The summer signing had a good game and his 60th minute header showed his class as a quality centre-forward with the simplest of headers for the first goal. Had another great chance to have made it two as his pace was too much for Atleti defenders, but he missed it. 8/10

Batshuayi: Came on for Morata with eight minutes left, and all he needed was one chance, and he was at the right place at the right time to score the winner for Chelsea with the last kick of the game. 7.5/10

Willian: Replaced Eden Hazard with eight minutes left, and he worked hard for the team. 6/10

Christensen: Came on for Fabregas with just five minutes left of the game, but he still put in a good defensive shift. 6/10
