Qarabag might seem like the underdogs in our group which also contain Roma and Atletico Madrid, but Antonio Conte isn’t taking the tie against the Azerbaijan giants lightly.

Chelsea start their Champions League campaign with a home game against Qarabag, and Conte has admitted that the Azerbaijan side has enough quality in it.

He said: “Qarabag is a good team and for them this is the first time to play this competition. I know a lot of these players very well because I played against Azerbaijan when I was Italian coach. We played our qualification against them.

“We must pay great attention. These type of games I like to call these games tricky games. And we must pay great attention.”

The Chelsea boss also insisted that his mind will also be on Sunday’s game against Arsenal and would have to rotate his players for tomorrow’s clash.

He said: “We played two days ago, we have to play tomorrow, then we have to play a tough game against Arsenal

“It’s normal and there is the necessity to do rotation. Otherwise you arrive to play the rest of games against teams without energy.”
