N’Golo Kante was back at the King Power Stadium, but the French international didn’t just come to see old faces but to take all three points and he did that with a man-of-the-match display.
Chelsea defeated Leicester 2-1 at the King Power Stadium, and Kante scored the second after a well-placed shot from outside the penalty box which went past Kasper Schmeichel.
Kante revealed how he happy he was to see his former teammates, but he also admitted that he was pleased to score but couldn’t celebrate his goal out of respect for his former side.
“It is always special to play my old team. I had an amazing year here but when I come I try to win,” said Kante, who was part of Leicester’s title-winning side.
“It is always a pleasure to score but I keep my celebration inside because I want to respect my old team.”
“It was a tough game. They had a lot of chances but we fight and had some chances but we won and that is the most important thing,” Kante added.
