Loic Remy is no longer a Chelsea player as he today joined La Liga side Las Palmas in a permanent deal.
Remy played an important role in our title-winning 2014/15 campaign, as he deputised Diego Costa upfront. Most notably, he netted the decisive goals in crucial league victories over Hull and Stoke during the run-in, also scoring in a 1-1 draw with Manchester City earlier in the season as we kept our nearest title challengers at arm’s length.
The latter part of his career was blighted by injuries and he suffered a long-term injury last season just after joining Crystal Palace on loan.
The 30-year-old forward leaves Chelsea a Premier League and League Cup winner. In total, he made 47 appearances for the Blues and scored 12 goals.
