Diego Costa might not play for Chelsea this season despite being included in the Blues Premier League squad.

The Brazilian-born Spanish international did not return to west London this summer after being told via text message that Antonio Conte no longer had plans for him, and has since been pushing for a move to former club Atletico Madrid.

He might have his wish anytime soon as sources in spain say Atlético Madrid have agreed a £58.2m fee with Chelsea to re-sign Diego Costa in January when their transfer ban would have ended. He’ll be registered on January 1st.

Chelsea will make a profit from the sale from whom Costa had moved for £32m in 2014.
