Chelsea are reportedly monitoring Edison Cavani’s situation at PSG following his penalty dispute with Neymar and dressing-room bust-up in the aftermath of their 2-0 victory against Lyon on Sunday according to a report on Daily Mail.
According to media outlet Sport, Neymar has demanded that PSG sell team Cavani because he views the on-pitch relationship with the Uruguayan as impossible.
Napoli and Everton are the other clubs reportedly monitoring Cavani’s situation at PSG.
A move to Chelsea for Cavani is unlikely to happen. Cavani is 30 and Chelsea’s new transfer policy favours signing younger players.
PSG are also highly unlikely to sell Cavani, who is their undisputed central forward, and the French side is keen to cool any talk of a rift between Neymar and Cavani.
President of PSG Nasser Al-Khelaifi have reportedly spoken to the pair and said: “No there is nothing. You the media are the ones who make the problems.”
