There were fears Alvaro Morata might not make it in the Premier League but the summer signing has proved to everyone that he was born for the Premier League.
Morata was under the shadows of Karim Benzema at the Bernabeu and was deployed primarily from the bench last term but still managed to score 15 goals in 26 games.
Despite his goalscoring exploits, Morata was sold to Chelsea during the summer and Spanish media outlet Don Balon claim Morata told Real Madrid president Florentino Perez that they’d regret selling him.
And according to Don Balon, Morata would have been the ideal contender to replace misfiring Karim Benzema.
Real could only manage a 1-1 with Levante during the weekend, after struggling to get a 2-2 draw against Valencia.
And now, there’s no Morata to call upon.
