Diego Costa has completed a move to Atletico Madrid, and the Spanish giants are not taking any chances as they have included a high release clause in his contract so that they won’t lose him a third time.
According to reports, Costa’s release clause at Atletico Madrid will stand at a staggering £175million – over £140m more than the fee Chelsea had to pay to sign him in his first spell at the club.
Costa was sold to Chelsea for £32m after impressing in his first spell with Atletico, and has now returned to Atletico for a fee of £58m.
Atletico host Chelsea in a few hours time in their impressive new Wanda Metropolitano stadium.
