Chelsea defender David Luiz got a red card for a tackle on Sead Kolasinac during Chelsea’s goalless draw against Arsenal at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
The red card against Arsenal was David Luiz’s first-ever red card in the Premier League.
Luiz’s red means he would miss Chelsea’s next three games which include a League Cup match against Nottingham Forest on Wednesday, and Premier League clashes against Stoke City and Manchester City on September 23 and September 30, respectively.
Luiz will be eligible to play Chelsea’s Champions League clash against Atletico Madrid on September 27th because the suspension only applies to domestic competition.
