Chelsea have been issued five red cards in the last nine games in all competitions, and it’s a thing of concern for Antonio Conte who warned against getting a red card prior to the goalless draw against Arsenal.
Chelsea have the worst disciplinary record in the Premier League this season as the Champions have picked up three red cards and 10 yellow cards so far.
Chelsea are away to a physical Stoke City today and Mark Hughes, who also played for the Blues, said: “I think they’ve got more sending off in the opening five or six games as in the whole of last year.
“I think last year they were good at taking things up to a line and not crossing it. And maybe they have just got that wrong.
“If you look at Costa, he was brilliant at taking it up to the edge, then stepping back, and it affected opposition teams.”
