Chelsea star Victor Moses was impressive for Nigeria who were denied back-to-back wins over Cameroon by a late penalty.
The Super Eagles defeated Cameroon 4-0 at home last week but had to settle for a 1-1 draw away to Cameroon on Monday.
Moses was lively throughout the game for Nigeria and was unlucky to hit the bar in the second half after superb work to pick a hole in the defence.
Chelsea youngster Ola Aina was on the Super Eagles bench for the first time following the granting of clearance for the 20-year-old to become a Nigeria player having represented England at junior levels.
Nigeria are close to qualifying for the 2018 World Cup as they lead their group by six points with two games to spare.
