The self-acclaimed Batman Michy Batshuayi was a man in form against Watford on Saturday and was a constant threat after he came on to replace Alvaro Morata on the hour mark.
The Belgian scored Chelsea’s equalising goal with a superb glancing header 11 minutes after coming on, and he capped a good individual display where he scored a brace, winning the man of the match award.
Although he has had his fair share of criticisms for his display against Burnley and Crystal Palace, these stats below show that Batshuayi is definitely on the rise:
The 24-year-old certainly knows where the goal is. He has now scored seven goals this season in all competitions, despite featuring largely off the bench.
Batshuayi scored his first Chelsea hat-trick in the Carabao Cup victory over Nottingham Forest.
He has now swung the game to Chelsea’s favour twice this season, with the winning goal against Atletico Madrid and a brace against Watford.
Batshuayi has scored six goals in his last nine Premier League appearances, after netting once in his previous seventeen games.
