When Chelsea first paid £60million for the services of Alvaro Morata, it was a decision that was faced with lots of criticisms. However, after six league games played, there was no doubting what the 24-year-old could do.
The Spain international was forced off in the defeat to Manchester City and was unable to continue his scoring run after a hat-trick against Stoke and a crucial goal in the Champions League victory over Atletico Madrid.
And Arsenal legend Ian Wright who’s so often critical of strikers has revealed he’s wowed by Morata.
Asked about Morata’s start at the club, Wright told BBC Radio 5 Live: “What I’ve seen of him his movement is really good.
“His second goal when he ran the Stoke defence and finished it like he did – that made me say, ‘Woah!’. What are we looking at here! He looks brilliant.”
