It was around this time last year when Chelsea went on a 13-match winning streak that lifted the Blues from a struggling side that were 7th on the table to the top of the table, and they remained so till the end of the season.
Chelsea are 4th on the table and nine points behind Manchester City who are yet to lose a game and are in amazing form.
Can Chelsea repeat such feat again?
Marcos Alonso who played a huge role in last season’s triumph has admitted it will be more difficult to achieve this season.
“This season is more complicated than the previous one,” Alonso told Marca.
“We have four competitions and, besides, we do not have a very big squad, which makes everything more difficult.
“But winning games in the final minutes, like against Watford, will give us morale for the next games.”
“Last season we won 13 in a row and I see no reason not to repeat it.”
