Chelsea’s Champions League clash with Roma on Wednesday night ended in a 3-3 draw after the Blues threw away a 2-goal advantage.
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte admits Chelsea were never in control of the game and believes the result is fair.
“I like to be honest and for sure I didn’t like the type of football that we did for a lot of the game but it is right to take the responsibility for this,” Conte said.
“I tried to protect my team and move my defenders into midfield with defence. But we lost our style of football. I didn’t like this.
“At the end I think the result was fair. We were 2-0 up but not in control of the game. It is right to take responsibility for this.
“You have to take the right decision for this, sometimes good sometimes bad. It was good to draw because Roma deserved this result.
“I have to praise my players, they showed me a big effort and commitment otherwise we lose the game.”
