Chelsea have three first team players who are injured at the moment – Danny Drinkwater who has been out since September, Alvaro Morata who suffered a hamstring injury against Manchester City two weeks ago and N’Golo Kante who got injured while on international duty with France.
Antonio Conte has revealed the extent of their injuries and how far out they are from returning to action.
The Italian said in his press conference today: “Team news, bad news. As you know very well we have three injured players.
“Morata I hope to have him back very soon, I hope for the next game against Roma.
“Drinkwater is progressing well but is not ready yet. We must have patience with him, with his calf problem.
“Then the last Kante, we are going to do a scan next week to check his situation if he is improving. For sure it is a muscular problem, it is a hamstring problem, this is a big loss for us. You know very well the importance of Kante and we don’t have another player with the same characteristic.”
