Danny Drinkwater is edging closer to making his Chelsea debut after returning to training at Cobham.

The 27-year-old is yet to play a game for Chelsea since making the switch from Leicester City during the summer.

The former Leicester midfielder has been ruled out since his transfer from the Foxes in the summer with a calf problem.

He has returned to training alone as he targets recovery from his injury.

With Chelsea looking thin in midfield, Conte would be hoping Drinkwater returns as soon as possible.
