All eyes will be on this afternoon’s fixture between England U17 and Spain U17 as the U17 World Cup in India comes to an end today.

It’ll be a historic event for the whole of England as they had endured a 51-year wait for an England football team to reach a FIFA World Cup final when their U20 team won the World Cup in South Korea earlier this summer, and have the opportunity to win their second World Cup after the U20s triumphed a few months ago.

England are looking to win the Under-17 World Cup for the first time in their history and become only the fourth European nation to lift the trophy.

An English side has eventually reached the final of the U17 World Cup, and they have done it with five Chelsea youngsters.

Callum Hudson-Odoi, George McEachran, Conor Gallagher, Marc Guehi and Jon Panzo will have the opportunity to make history this afternoon as England battle Spain.
