Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata is eager to make his return from injury having picked up a hamstring injury against Manchester City two weeks ago.
A scan conducted by Spain’s medical team claimed that the striker has suffered a grade two hamstring injury which would see him sidelined for six to eight weeks. But reports this week claimed that Chelsea are confident that Morata’s injury is not as bad as first feared and the club’s record signing could be available to face Roma in the Champions League next Wednesday.
Footage from Chelsea’s training sessions this week, however, suggest that Morata will be in a race against time to feature against the Serie A club as he has not taken part in the drills with the rest of his teammates.
