Davide Zappacosta had a bad game against Roma on Wednesday night and former Tottenham manager Tim Sherwood has criticised his display in Chelsea’s 3-3 draw against Roma in the UEFA Champions League.
Zappacosta was picked by Antonio Conte to start against the Italians at Stamford Bridge, with Victor Moses out injured.
Sherwood criticised Zappacosta’s display in his post-match analysis, as he said: “Kolarov isn’t the fastest but he left Zappacosta for dead severally. Zappacosta allowed Kolarov too much space and time on the ball, something that Victor Moses won’t do against a player like Kolarov.”
Zappacosta was later substituted for Rudiger in the latter stages of the game.
