After an injury to N’Golo Kante, there’s positive news for Chelsea from the much dreaded international football.

Chelsea youngster Andreas Christensen showed he’s every bit a mature defender as he played the full game in an important World Cup qualifying game for Denmark against Romania as the Danes secured a play-off place in the quest for qualification for next year’s World Cup finals in Russia. A 1-1 draw at home to Romania was sufficient for the Danes to finish second in their group.

Another Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger also had a good weekend as he was on the scoresheet for Germany.

Germany had already won their group and still finished their qualifiers with a 5-1 home win over Azerbaijan.

Blues summer signing Toni Rudiger was brought on halfway through the first half to replace injured Niklas Sule with Germany leading 1-0. Although Azerbaijan equalised, a strong second-half performance from the home side resulted in a big victory with Rudiger heading in the Germans’ fourth goal.

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
