Chelsea suffered a 2-1 loss to Crystal Palace on Saturday at Selhurst Park and the loss has placed Chelsea nine points behind Manchester City in the race for the Premier League title.
Former Arsenal defender Martin keown believes some of Antonio Conte’s mistakes have cost Chelsea this season as the Blues have already lost a whopping three games already.
“Pedro sat on the bench,” Keown said on BT Sport following the 2-1 loss to Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
“You look at Conte last year and he couldn’t get anything wrong.
“Now these subtle little changes when the first team players aren’t available, he’s not getting it right.
“They’re so excellent (Manchester) City now, and we talk about being ruthless on a football pitch.
“Why did Chelsea let (Nemanja) Matic go? (Diego) Costa, of course, they fell out.
“But they’re weaker this year than they were, very obviously.”
