Michy Batshuayi scored twice in Chelsea’s 4-2 win against Watford after coming on from the bench to replace Alvaro Morata.
Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp believes Batshuayi must now prove he can perform when he starts a game after his man of the match performance against Watford.
“He’s an instinctive player,” Redknapp told Sky Sports.
“Sometimes when it looks easy for him he makes mistakes.
“But that ball, as it comes across, it’s a great header. It really is.
“He just takes the pace and flicks it into the corner. It’s unstoppable. He got man of the match and rightly so, he changed the game.
“Again (for his second goal), I think you’ve got to credit him.
“Batshuayi came on, point to prove, strength there, too strong for him, holds the defender off and a lovely little finish. That will give him a lot of confidence.
“What he’s got to start doing is not just doing it from the bench.
“But as a manager, when you make these substitutions you are looking for a reaction and for something to happen and he gave his manager that.”
