Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata picked up a hamstring injury in the game against Manchester City last Saturday. He limped off in the 35th minute against Pep Guardiola’s men and was taken off immediately.

Morata has posted an update on his hamstring injury after withdrawing from Spain’s squad earlier this week.

On Thursday afternoon, Morata uploaded an Instagram story of himself back in the gym on an exercise bike wearing Chelsea’s training gear.

He initially posted that he is hopeful of being fit to face Crystal Palace on October 14 before he brought down the post.

It was reported that the Spaniard had suffered a grade two hamstring strain and could be out for up to six weeks.
