Former Chelsea midfielder Oscar left the Blues for the Chinese Super League in January 2016 after failing to be a key player under Antonio Conte.

The Brazilian claims he left Chelsea because he didn’t have a position to play after Antonio Conte changed Chelsea’s formation to 3-4-3. The 26-year-old also revealed he hopes to return to Chelsea in future.

“The first eight games I played very well, then I had a League Cup game that I left, the team lost and it changed, Then [Antonio Conte] changed the team’s way of playing in a 3-4-3 and I didn’t play anymore, I didn’t have a position to play, because I’m a more offensive midfielder and then it changed a lot,” Oscar said as quoted on Football.London

“So I decided to leave too, but I left the doors open.

“I would go back, yes. I’m still young, I’m still 26 years old. Who knows in two, three years I would return to the Premier League. I would be very happy. And preferably for Chelsea, who opened the doors for me, to return.”
