Chelsea let a 2-0 lead slip as the Blues even had to come back from 3-2 down to draw the game 3-3.
See how the players fared in this game:
Courtois: Made a couple of good saves in the game but still conceded three goals due to poor defending. 6/10
Azpilicueta: He was easily beaten by Kolarov for Roma’s first goal and would take some share of Chelsea’s poor defending in the second-half. Did well when moved to the right wing-back position nevertheless. 5.5/10
Christensen: Still showed his composure in this difficult game against Roma but his defending against Dzeko for Roma’s third goal was suspect. 6/10
Cahill: Was having a solid game until Edin Dzeko and Roma moved up a gear in the second-half as Chelsea’s defence got shaky. 6/10
Bakayoko: Had a decent game, showed energy and was unlucky not to have gotten a goal. 6/10
Luiz: Was one of Chelsea’s best players before being substituted in the second-half as Conte switched to a 3-4-3 system. Scored the team’s first goal with a powerful shot and brought energy to the team’s midfield. 7.5/10
Fabregas: His passing was neat, but the game got past him often times. 5.5/10
Alonso: Had a decent game, nothing extraordinary and didn’t make any mistake. 6/10
Zappacosta: Had an average game. Didn’t show much quality both going forward and defending. Looked off the pace at times and was taken off after 77 minutes. 5.5/10
Hazard: Scored a brace and was very lively for the Blues. His second goal helped Chelsea get the point. 8/10
Morata: Had a good game despite not scoring a goal. Caused a lot of problems for Roma’s defence especially in the first-half. 7/10
Subs
Pedro: Brought a bit of energy to Chelsea’s game as he replaced Luiz just after 57 minutes. 6/10
Rudiger: Brought steel to Chelsea’s defence as he replaced Zappacosta with 13 minutes left. 6/10
Willian: Had an okay game as he played the last ten minutes of the game after replacing Eden Hazard. 5.5/10
