Bournemouth host Chelsea at the Vitality Stadium this evening, and Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has had to squash media rumours about an impending sack and being replaced with Carlo Ancelotti in his press conference yesterday.
Bournemouth boss Howe Eddie Howe has revealed his surprise at the pressure being put on Conte despite winning the Premier League title for the Blues last season.
“Well if that’s the case we’ve all got problems,” he said.
“I don’t know where we go from there. That just defies belief really that someone who has done such a fine job at Chelsea can even be talked of in that way.
“But that’s the modern way it seems, that’s the way the game’s gone.
“I don’t like to see managers sacked.
“It makes the profession very delicately poised, at all times.
“When you’re on a losing run there are always questions about your future.
“I don’t think it’s good for the profession.”
