Chelsea will be away to Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday evening and it’s a very important game for both sides.
While Chelsea are fourth on the table and are looking to climb higher, Bournemouth are 19th and will be hoping to get out of the relegation zone.
The Cherries have two former Chelsea players in their ranks – Asmir Begovic and Nathan Ake, and Conte has revealed that he’d say hi to his former players.
He said in his press conference ahead of the visit to Bournemouth: “Bournemouth is a good team and they play well. We must pay great attention tomorrow as it will be a tough game. The team they’ve built now, the position is not correct.
“They played a lot of games and played well but they were unlucky. My players must have great respect for Bournemouth and their coach. Tomorrow I will say hello to Ake and Begovic as they were two important players last season. We must pay great attention.”
Conte was asked particularly about Ake and if he tried to keep the young Dutchman, to which he answered: “My answer is always the same. I can give my opinion to the club, but the last decision is with them.”
He also added: “To play regularly is not simple. It’s not simple. When you decide to stay in a great team you have to accept a great challenge and that you deserve better.”
