Victor Moses became the third Chelsea player in just two weeks to suffer a hamstring injury when he hobbled off during their 2-1 loss at Crystal Palace. Alvaro Morata and N’Golo Kante have picked up similar injuries in recent games.

Moses is set to face a lengthy spell on the sidelines with a report on Daily Mail claiming Moses would be out for at least four weeks.

This means Moses would miss Chelsea’s Champions League double header with Roma, Premier League games against Watford, Bournemouth and Manchester United plus the Carabao Cup clash with Everton.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte admitted after the 2-1 loss to Crystal Palace that the injuries are beginning to take its toll on Chelsea.

“I think, in this moment, for us it’s a very difficult moment. When you start a game without Morata and without Kante, it’s not simple,” Conte said.

“Above all if, during the game, another important player in your team has an injury too like Moses. I hope to have him back very soon because this moment is very difficult for us.

“To lose three or four players, it’s a big problem for us. But, despite this, we have to find the will to fight.”
