Chelsea need a win against Qarabag to get through to the second round of the Champions League. However, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte isn’t expecting an easy game against the Azerbaijani side.
Since Chelsea defeated Qarabag 6-0, the Azerbaijan club have proven that they are not walkovers, as they drew with Atletico Madrid twice and Roma only struggled to beat them.
Conte is wary of Qarabag’s threat and has deemed the game as one of the most important of the season.
He said: “On Wednesday, we have to play the most important game of our season since the start.
“Because if we are able to win the game against Qarabag we can go through to the next round. That will be very important. It won’t be easy because in their last two games Qarabag have drawn twice with Atletico Madrid – and Roma struggled a lot to win against them. It will be very important to be focused.”
