Chelsea summer signing Tiemoue Bakayoko joined the Blues from French champions Monaco, in what was a surprise season for his former club.
Monaco won the French Ligue One and reached the semifinals of the UEFA Champions League to the surprise of many.
And Bakayoko who cost Chelsea £40m has insisted that he wants to win the Champions League with Chelsea.
“Now the aim with Chelsea is to win this competition,” the 23-year-old told the official Chelsea website.
“If you don’t win it, it’s a failure. I hope with this match against Qarabag we can qualify and continue on the right path.”
Bakayako scored his first Chelsea goal in the 6-0 win over Qarabag back in September, and he also revealed his joy at getting on the scoresheet for Chelsea.
He added: “I felt a lot of emotion. I was very proud to score my first goal and in front of our fans as well. It brought me great pleasure.
“At Rennes and Monaco I struggled to score my first goal, so to score for Chelsea after just a few weeks gave me confidence. There is a group here that gives me confidence as well.
“I was very happy to score and I hope I can continue like this, starting today.”
