In a shocking development, Chelsea technical director Michael Emenalo has quit his job.

With questions being asked about Antonio Conte as Chelsea manager, it is Emenalo who has ended his 10-year association with Chelsea following his sudden departure as the club’s technical director.

The news surrounding the 52-year-old will come as a major blow to club owner Roman Abramovich who sees the Nigerian as one of his trusted hands at the club.

Chelsea have confirmed the news via its official website, as the club released a statement, thus: “Chelsea Football Club today announces that technical director Michael Emenalo has decided to stand down from his role.

“Everybody at Chelsea thanks Michael for his loyal service and wishes him well for the future. He will always be welcome back to Stamford Bridge as a friend of the club.”

Reports claim that Emenalo could be set to join French giants, Monaco.

We wish him all the best.
