Michael Emenalo ended his 10-year stay with Chelsea as he resigned from his role as the club’s technical director last week.

Transfer Window podcast guest Ian McGarry believes Emenalo’s departure won’t be received well and that whoever will replace him would have a lot of work to do.

“I’ve heard the players and Conte are disappointed that Emenalo has gone,” he said.

“He’s there listening, talking, taking in what happens in every single match never mind at the training ground.

“He’ll be a miss for the club.

“Whoever comes in won’t have the same authority Emenalo built up, they’ll effectivley be a yes man to (director Marina) Granovskia.”
