Liverpool went ahead in the game through a Mohamed Salah strike in the second-half in a very pulsating encounter.
Chelsea had to fight back and found the equaliser through Willian. Indeed, the Blues could easily have won the game but it ended all square.
Speaking after the game, Conte chose to appreciate his players for their effort.
He said: “We must be please for the game. Both teams played with a great intensity from the start to the end.
“For us it was very hard to play this game after a long travel and no rest. You play against a really strong team and a particular atmosphere. In the first half we were very solid and had some possession.
“In the second half we had chances to score. We conceded the goal and was unlucky if you saw the dynamic of the goal. I am very happy to see a great reaction of my players, a great will to fight and don’t accept a bad result. We drew and tried to win the game. We must be pleased.”
