Chelsea fell to a 3-0 defeat to Roma away at the Stadio Olimpico on Tuesday night, and it’s a result that shocked everyone.
Antonio Conte has bemoaned the team’s lack of luck in the game as Chelsea were 2-0 down at halftime, with the Blues conceding the first goal just under 60 seconds.
Conte said after the game: “There is greater disappointment for our second half. Great disappointment because I didn’t see positive things. IN the first half, I repeat, I think we were unlucky.
“As you know, I don’t like to speak about luck or no luck but, in the first half, we created many chances and were unlucky we didn’t take them. But in the second half there is a great disappointment.
“That was really, really bad. Bad for a team like us. Last season we showed great hunger, great will to do something important. We won the league and did a miracle.
“But if we want to be competitive this season we have to avoid these ups and downs. A great team must have stability and great desire to be protagonists in every game.”
