Antonio Conte admitted after the game that his side were unlucky not to get all three points at the Anfield stadium today.
Willian scored late in the game to level the scores, and Conte hailed his players performance at the end of the game.
The Chelsea boss said: “I think we played in a really good way, a tactical play and I think for Liverpool it was difficult to make chances to score and it was a tactical decision to be in the first half very solid.
“The game changed in the second half and we dominated the game. Liverpool was lucky to score and draw.”
Speaking about his tactics, he said: “We must be please for the game. Both teams played with a great intensity from the start to the end. For us it was very hard to play this game after a long travel and no rest.
“You play against a really strong team and a particular atmosphere. In the first half we were very solid and had some possession. In the second half we had chances to score. We conceded the goal and was unlucky if you saw the dynamic of the goal. I am very happy to see a great reaction of my players, a great will to fight and don’t accept a bad result. We drew and tried to win the game. We must be pleased.”
