Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata was on target as Spain comfortably won Costa Rica 5-0 in a friendly played on Saturday. Morata made it 2-0 for Spain in the 23rd minute after reacting quickest to pounce on a loose ball inside the box and fire home.

Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen was an unused substitute as Denmark were held to a goalless draw at home by Republic of Ireland in the first leg of their World Cup qualifying play-off.

16-year-old Chelsea youngster Clinton Mola scored for England Under-17s as they came from behind to beat 10-man Russia 2-1 at the Pirelli Stadium on Saturday.
