Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Dele Alli are age mates, but the Tottenham star has reached greater heights than the Chelsea man, as he has had more playing opportunities.
While Alli has racked up 154 league appearances at MK Dons and Spurs, Loftus-Cheek has only been able to play 29 league games for Chelsea and Crystal Palace.
Former Chelsea midfielder and assistant manager Ray Wilkins, however, believes despite having less experience than Alli, Loftus-Cheek can go on to match his success.
“This fella has great technique,” he told talkSPORT.
“He’s got two feet, he’s got energy and pace, he can score a goal and he can create goals.
“Had he played as many games as Dele Alli through the league.
“Dele has played around 200 games now and he’s only 21.
“I honestly do believe Loftus-Cheek has the ability to be equally as good as him, no question about it.”
