There have been reports of a bust-up between David Luiz and Chelsea boss Antonio Conte which led to the Brazilian being dropped from the squad that played Manchester United on Sunday.
Antonio Conte axed the centre-half from his squad to play United yesterday, and the team won without the Brazilian.
Reports claim the Brazilian believes the incident was just a little misunderstanding and he’s insisted ‘life is great’ on Instagram amid the growing speculations about his Chelsea future.
“Life is great! Thank you and all my fans,” Luiz told his followers on Monday afternoon.
Antonio Conte claimed his decision to drop Luiz on Sunday was ‘tactical’ but didn’t say when the Brazilian will be brought back into the squad.
“I don’t know. He has to work really hard otherwise they are on the bench or in the stands,” Conte said after Chelsea’s 1-0 win over United.
He also warned that what happened to Luiz can happen to any player.
Luiz wasn’t called up to represent Brazil on international duty and will face Conte with some few other Chelsea stars in training on Wednesday. Hopefully, the pair will settle and everything will return to normalcy.
