Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is reportedly plotting a move for Chelsea’s Brazilian defender David Luiz according to a report on Daily Express.
Daily Express claim Luiz is still unhappy about Antonio Conte’s decision to drop him for Chelsea’s 1-0 victory over Manchester United before the international break.
Conte dropped the Brazilian after the pair had a bust-up after Chelsea’s 3-0 loss at Roma.
Rumours linking Mourinho with a move for Luiz comes as a surprise as Mourinho sold the defender during his time as Chelsea boss. After Mourinho sold Luiz, he claimed Luiz won’t be missed at Chelsea. Luiz also hit back at Mourinho, insisting Mourinho isn’t special to him.
Daily Express claim the bad blood between Mourinho and Luiz appears to have disappeared with Mourinho reportedly impressed with Luiz’s performances since returning to Chelsea.
It is been reported that Mourinho is monitoring Luiz’s situation at Chelsea closely and is considering a move – possibly even in January.
