Chelsea youngster recently hit out on Instagram about his lack of first-team chances at the club and the 21-year-old has not made Antonio Conte’s squad for the team’s last two matches in the Premier League and Champions League.
Musonda has played only 26 minutes in the Premier League this season and has started just two games in the Carabao Cup.
However, Belgium manager Roberto Martinez has revealed he has no sympathy for Charly Musonda’s predicament at Chelsea.
The 21-year-old Belgian had the opportunity to go out on loan at the start of the season but refused to, and the ex-Everton manager says he cannot complain about his lack of playing opportunities.
“We all know his talent, but he’s reached a period in his life where he needs to play,” Martinez told French publication So Foot.
“In fact, the club wanted to loan him, but he didn’t want to go because he thought he would be playing.
“In that case, it’s quite hard to moan about your situation.
“You need to distinguish two things with young players. Their potential and their performances.”
